Devotion's by Deborah

Devotion 4-6-24, Romans 1:17- "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.” "The righteous man shall live by faith." Everyone believes in something; everyone has faith in something. Everyone will either believe in God or they will believe the lie that God is not overall, in all, and Maker of all. It really comes down to one or the other. Faith comes from God and faith leads to God. It is one of His many gifts that must be received and acted upon. Deciding to reject faith, love and righteousness is also a decision. That decision is subtle, based on gradual rejection of God overtime. God's plans is life, salvation, and relationship. Satan's plan is death, darkness, foolishness, and futility. The choice is faith in God or faith in something less than God. Romans 1:21- "For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened." Be very careful in whom you place your faith and trust. Only God is to be trusted; only God is dependable and true. Only God provides salvation and a new life free from the bondage of sin and death. Any other promises are based on lies from the pit of hell. "God is revealed from faith to faith..." He pours out faith on all who actively seek Him. He reveals Himself to those who seek Him faithfully. He is the truth! He hates dishonesty and ungodliness; He will judge each one on our faith or lack of faith in Him. Seek faith and truth from the author of faith and truth. John 8:32- "and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
