Devotion 4-8-24, John 20:29b- "...Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” In what do you believe? On the one hand the world tries to convince us there is no God, no ultimate source, no Creator. On the other hand, the same world would convince us to "trust" their words and intentions, saying they know better than we do what is good for us. All this is from the enemy of our souls, Satan. He is a liar and the father of lies.(John 8:44) We must intentionally weed through the lies to detect the truth. We must intentionally seek God. He will not be found by bowing to any man-made idea. He is above and beyond all that is created; He has revealed Himself to all who will look, not seeing, but believing. 1 Peter 1:8-9- " and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls." We must choose to embrace God, choose to believe, though we do not see. We must push beyond the lies and seek the truth! God is always there, waiting, offering love, hope, faith, and salvation to all who will seek Him. Both the Old and New Testaments share the same message - seek God, believe Him, choose Him. Jeremiah 29:13- "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." Jesus says to us now through the Holy Spirit, "You have seen My life transform lives; now let Me transform your life! Now believe!"
