Devotion's by Deborah

Devotion 1-9-24 Psalms 18:1 - 3 a- “I love You, O Lord, my strength.” The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,.." Who is worthy to be praised? Any God type praise given to any lesser being than God is idolatry. Only God may receive His praise. He is the only One worthy of praise. He is to be honored, worshipped, and acknowledged, as over all and above all. Our heart, soul, mind, and strength must all belong to Him and only Him. All other loves are lesser and ought to be in that order. We say, "I love you Lord. I acknowledge You as my all. I obey You. My heart is set on You! You are my Rock, my Fortress of protection, my Deliverer! I fervently and devotedly yield all of myself to You. You only are my Salvation, my Stronghold, my Shield from the evil of this world. It is only through you, Lord, that I live and breathe. You, Lord, suffered and died that I might live. You, Lord, are not ashamed to call me Your child, Your redeemed. Your name will be continually on my lips." Hebrews 2:12 KJV- "I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee." All of heaven continually praises You! Revelation 5:11 - 13 KJV - "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." Amen!
