Devotion's by Deborah

Devotion 3-20-24, Ephesians 1:4a- "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, . . ." You are not an accident, an uh-oh, a mistake, or any other lie spoken by man. You are precious to God! We may choose to try to wrap our heads and hearts around this truth or we call God a liar. Based on our situation and treatment, it would often be easier to conclude that God did not care at all. So many are born into extreme messes and appear to be disposable nuisances. The surface appearance does not alter the underlying truth - God chose you, He loves you, He will live in you - if you ask Him to do it. We are angered, and rightly so, by the mistreatment of people. But in the end, while it appears to be a social problem, it is really a spiritual problem. Free will exists. It is real. God chose each of us; He values each of us. But it is equally true that His love allows us to choose Him. He chose us, but will we choose Him? That one choice makes all the difference. God chose you; He loves you, just as you are. He chose you before you were even conceived. He chose you, not for what you could do for Him, but because He loves. He chose you; He loves you; His true desire is a relationship with you. He chose you; therefore, He willingly went to the cross for you. He died and rose again for you. He chose you and made all the provisions for you to choose Him. You are greatly loved and chosen! John 3:16- “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
